I recently got the DVD version of Sergio Leone's epic Once Upon a Time in the West. I had the VHS version, but I figured that the DVD would be the only way to do it justice. I was right, incidentally.
I haven't had time to watch it fully or do a review, but here's one from Martin Fowler that nicely sums up the splendor of it all without getting into the thematic elements.
